The Bharat Study

The BHARAT Study (Biomarkers of Healthy Aging, Resilience, Adversity, and Transitions) is a comprehensive population study investigating the biomarkers of aging in the Indian population. Through multi-omics and multi-modal analyses, we aim to identify patterns and markers that can predict aging-related conditions and develop interventions to improve healthspan.

  • No heart failure or severe heart disease in the past

  • No severe lung disease in the past

  • No strokes or any other neurological disease in the past

  • No severe disease related to liver, Stomach

  • No severe disease related to kidney

  • No autoimmune disease in the past

  • No surgery in the past 6 months

  • No recipient of organ transplantation
